FSC Ration Card Search Trio: Step by Step for a Missing Card
The FSC Ration Card Search has three options. They use different numbers, so a card that fails with one number may appear with another. Try them one at a time.
- Open the search on the official Food Security Act portal.
- Try 1: FSCRefNo. Use the FSC Ref No, usually printed on a receipt or the card. Pick the district, type the captcha, press Search.
- Try 2: Ration Card No. Use the main number printed on the card. Compare it digit by digit.
- Try 3: Old Ration Card No. Use the number from an older card or paper, if you have one.
- Try the district where you applied. If no record appears, ask the office.
- If the captcha is unclear, press Refresh. If the site is slow, check again later.

If the card shows but a person is absent, the problem is a member record, not a missing card.
Reading the Three FSC Searches Together When a Card Is Not Showing Online
After you have tried all three, compare the outcomes. The pattern tells you what to say to the office.

- The search returns no result for a number you believe is right.
- The shop machine says the card is not found or inactive.
- Grain stopped after months of normal collection.
- The card appears, but one or two names are absent.
- One number type fails while another type works.
None of these alone proves the record is gone. Re-check the digits first.
If All Three FSC Ration Card Searches Fail

Do not guess numbers repeatedly. Do not pay anyone who offers to "add your card to the database".

- The physical card, or a clear copy kept for your own use.

- The name of the family head and the mandal.
- A note of which of the three searches you tried and what each returned.
- A phone with the date and time you tried, in case the site was slow.
Most offices can help faster when you arrive with these in hand. If the office is far, call the helpline first and ask whether a visit is needed.
Should I Apply for a New Ration Card?
Not unless the office tells you the old card is invalid. A second application for the same family can clash with the first. If a request was already rejected, read rejected reasons and fixes.

The number may have been typed wrongly, or the card may have a newer number. A family member's current card, a recent receipt or the dealer's records may show it. If the dealer can see the number, verify it yourself rather than paying someone for a look-up.
