In brief: When FSC application status shows data not found, the cause is often the number, the district or the radio option you chose. Check those before you call anyone.
- Open FSC Application Search, not the card lookup.
- Run the six-point check below, one point at a time.
- If it still fails, take your receipt to the office. Do not file again.

This guide is for people who typed a MeeSeva or application number and got no result. This site is independent and not a government website.
Which Ration Card Form Are You Checking? Application No or MeeSeva No
On the official portal, the left menu item FSC Search opens a page with a Ration Cards Search button. Its options are FSC Application Search and Status of Rejected Ration Card Search. The application form takes a district plus a MeeSeva No or an Application No.
12- 1 Hover Ration Cards Search
- 2 Choose FSC Application Search or Rejected search
12345- 1 Select your district
- 2 Pick MeeSeva No or Application No
- 3 Type the number
- 4 Press Search
- 5 Result fields appear here
A card number does not belong in this form. If you have a card number, FSC Ref No or old card number, see ration card missing in database and the ePDS Telangana guide instead.
Six-Point Check When FSC Application Status Shows Data Not Found
Go in this order. Retype the number fresh each time.
| # | Check | How |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Retype the number | Type it again slowly. Watch for a letter O in place of zero, or a swapped digit |
| 2 | No spaces or dashes | Type only what is printed, with no extra gap at the end |
| 3 | Radio option | Pick MeeSeva No or Application No to match your receipt. Check your receipt or message to see which number it shows |
| 4 | Switch the radio | Try the other option once with the same number |
| 5 | District | Try the district where you applied. If no record appears, ask the office |
| 6 | Try later | Search again later, or on another device, in case of a portal hiccup |
This form has no Aadhaar or mobile number box. Searching by those is not possible here.
Receipt Exists but FSC Application Status Search Shows No Record Found
A MeeSeva receipt proves you submitted a request. It does not prove the portal shows it yet. We cannot say how long that takes.
- Keep the receipt. Photograph it, and do not post it publicly.
- Ask the centre where your request type is tracked.
- Note the date of application and the service you asked for.
What to Carry to the Office When Application Status Is Not Found
- The receipt, with its number and date.
- The service you applied for.
- Name of the family head and the district.
- A screenshot of the not found message.
The official Food Security Act portal lists the helpline 1967 & 1800 4250 0333 and a grievance system. Ask where your request should be tracked.
Why You Should Not File a Duplicate Ration Card Application
A second application because the first cannot be found may cause a conflict. Apply again only if an official confirms the first one does not exist or is closed. Do not pay anyone to find your file, and never share an OTP.
Application Status Found but Slow or Rejected: Next Steps
If the search works and the file is slow, read application pending too long. If it shows a rejection, read rejected reasons and solutions. The full form is explained in the FSC Application Search guide.
Where to Go Next After an FSC Application Status Data Not Found Result
| Your situation | Go to |
|---|---|
| Check passes, record shows | Read Application Status and Pending At |
| Check fails after six points | Office visit with receipt and screenshot |
| You only hold a card number | The card lookup, not this form |
FSC Application Status Example: One MeeSeva No, Two Attempts
Suppose Lakshmi applied through a MeeSeva centre and has a receipt with a long number. She selected her home district, chose Application No, and typed the number. The page said data not found.
She ran the check. Point 3 showed her receipt labelled the number as a MeeSeva number, not an Application number. She switched the radio option to MeeSeva No, kept the same digits, and pressed Search. This is an illustration of how a wrong radio option alone can produce an empty result. Your receipt may differ, so read your own.
Why Each Point in the Application Status Check Matters
- Retype: copying from a photo is where most slips happen. Letters that look like digits, such as O and 0, are a common trap.
- Spaces: a space at the end of the number can look invisible but still matters to a form.
- Radio option: the form accepts either MeeSeva No or Application No. A number typed under the wrong label will not match.
- District: the lookup is done within a district, so a different district may show nothing.
- Another device: a different phone or computer rules out a local problem on yours.
Notes for the Civil Supplies Office Visit About Your Application No
If the six points fail, the office or the MeeSeva centre is the next step. Go with a screenshot of the message, the receipt, and a note of the points you tried. Then ask three things.
- Is my request visible on your side?
- Which number and which portal option should I use to track it?
- Is anything needed from me to move it forward?
Write down the answers and the name or desk of the person. If they give you a new number, use that one in the form.
What to Do If You Lost the Ration Card Application Receipt
Without the receipt you have no number to type, and guessing digits will not help. Go back to the MeeSeva centre where you applied and ask them to look up your request and read the number out. Carry the details you gave when applying: the family head's name and the date.
Ask the centre to give you a printed or messaged copy this time. Take a photo of it straight away. Do not accept a number from a stranger on the phone, and do not share an OTP with anyone who offers to find your file.
If the centre cannot find it, ask the Civil Supplies office how a lost receipt is handled. Do not file a second application unless an official tells you to.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does FSC application status show data not found?
Often the number was mistyped, the wrong radio option was chosen, or the district does not match. A record may also not be visible yet. Run the six-point check, then ask the office with your receipt.
What is the difference between MeeSeva No and Application No?
They are two separate numbers, and the form asks you to pick one with a radio button. Check your receipt or message to see which one it shows, and type it exactly as printed.
Why is my MeeSeva number not working in FSC search?
The Application No option may be selected, a digit may be wrong, or the entry may not be visible yet. Retype it carefully, switch the radio once, then ask the centre where it is tracked.
Which district do I select in FSC application search?
Try the district where you applied. If no record appears, ask the office. Match the district to your receipt rather than your current address.
Can I search the application with my Aadhaar or mobile number?
No. This form has no Aadhaar or mobile number box. It takes a district plus a MeeSeva No or an Application No. Keep your receipt handy.
Should I apply again if the status is not found?
No. A duplicate may cause a conflict or delay both requests. Apply again only if an official confirms the first one does not exist. Keep every receipt.
